MAKING & DISCLOSING:
POETIC METHODS
OF MINDFULNESS
TABLE OF CONTENTS
-----------------------
I have to note up front that everyone of these sections is still "under construction." I have very few pieces that are finished, that is, need no more work. All of my poetry is "in process" somehow. But I encourage you to read along with what is here and let me know what you think.
Cut-Ups & Experiments
It will be various pieces that have been created using my own techniques of the cut-up, a method invented by Brion Gysin and William S. Burroughs to accident upon meaningful lines.

Cut Up Two: What the Hell?

Wandering Wonderment
This section contains my more aphoristic, prophetic poetry as well as interesting journal entries that tend toward the poetic. This is where my haiku's and some of my drawings are kept.

Remaining Alcibiades
This is the poetry and journaling that I dedicated to the memories of my father, Joseph P. Brown, and my mentor/companion, Richard M. Owsley. It is broken up into diary entries. The structure is inspired by the Japanese art of Haibun which was a kind of Zen practice alternating journal entries with haiku.

Poetics
This section is still under construction. It will include my philosophical papers written in consideration of what poetry is and how poetics should be approached. This will also include work I did with Prof. Richard Owsley.
